2:27 “Let me pass through your land; I will keep strictly to the roadway. ¹  I will not turn aside to the right or the left.

Deuteronomy 28:4

[2:27]  ¹ tn Heb “in the way in the way” (בַּדֶּרֶךְ בַּדֶּרֶךְ, baderekh baderekh). The repetition lays great stress on the idea of resolute determination to stick to the path. IBHS 116 §7.2.3c.

[28:4]  ² tn Heb “the fruit of your womb” (so NAB, NIV, NRSV).

[28:18]  ³ tn Heb “the fruit of your womb” (so NAB, NIV, NRSV).

[32:2]  ⁴ tn Or “mist,” “light drizzle.” In some contexts the term appears to refer to light rain, rather than dew.
