Invocation of Witnesses

32:1 Listen, O heavens, and I will speak;

hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

1:45 Then you came back and wept before the Lord, but he ¹  paid no attention to you whatsoever. ² 

[1:45]  ¹ tn Heb “the Lord.” The pronoun (“he”) has been employed in the translation here for stylistic reasons, to avoid redundancy.
