Ezekiel 20:13

20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness; they did not follow my statutes and they rejected my regulations (the one who obeys them will live by them), and they utterly desecrated my Sabbaths. So I decided to pour out ¹  my rage on them in the wilderness and destroy them. ² 

Ezekiel 20:21

20:21 “‘But the children ³  rebelled against me, did not follow my statutes, did not observe my regulations by carrying them out (the one who obeys ⁴  them will live by them), and desecrated my Sabbaths. I decided to pour out ⁵  my rage on them and fully vent my anger against them in the wilderness.

Ezekiel 5:13

5:13 Then my anger will be fully vented; I will exhaust my rage on them, and I will be appeased. ⁶  Then they will know that I, the Lord, have spoken in my jealousy ⁷  when I have fully vented my rage against them.

Ezekiel 7:8

7:8 Soon now I will pour out my rage ⁸  on you; I will fully vent my anger against you. I will judge you according to your behavior. I will hold you accountable for all your abominable practices.

[5:13]  ⁷ tn The Hebrew noun translated “jealousy” is used in the human realm to describe suspicion of adultery (Num 5:14ff.; Prov 6:34). Since Israel’s relationship with God was often compared to a marriage this term is appropriate here. The term occurs elsewhere in Ezekiel in 8:3, 5; 16:38, 42; 23:25.
