44:6 Say to the rebellious, ¹  to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Enough of all your abominable practices, O house of Israel!

44:1 Then he brought me back by way of the outer gate of the sanctuary which faces east, but it was shut.

Ezekiel 4:3

4:3 Then for your part take an iron frying pan ²  and set it up as an iron wall between you and the city. Set your face toward it. It is to be under siege; you are to besiege it. This is a sign ³  for the house of Israel.

[4:3]  ² tn Or “a griddle,” that is, some sort of plate for cooking.
