Ezra 1:3

Context
1:3 Anyone from 1  his people among you (may his God be with him!) may go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and may build the temple of the Lord God of Israel – he is the God who is in Jerusalem.

Ezra 5:8

Context
5:8 Let it be known to the king that we have gone to the province of Judah, to the temple of the great God. It is being built with large stones, 2  and timbers are being placed in the walls. This work is being done with all diligence and is prospering in their hands.

Ezra 6:12

Context
6:12 May God who makes his name to reside there overthrow any king or nation 3  who reaches out 4  to cause such change so as to destroy this temple of God in Jerusalem. I, Darius, have given orders. Let them be carried out with precision!”

Daniel 2:47

[5:8]  2 tn Aram “stones of rolling.” The reference is apparently to stones too large to carry.

[6:12]  4 tn Aram “who sends forth his hand.”

[6:20]  5 tn Aram “The king answered and said to Daniel.” This phrase has not been included in the translation for stylistic reasons; it is redundant in English.

[6:26]  6 tn Aram “until the end.”
