• [Psa 139:12] O Thou To Whose All Searching Sight

  O Thou to Whose all searching sight The darkness shineth as the light, Search, prove my heart; it pants for Thee; O burst these bonds, and set it free! Wash out its stains, refine its dross, Nail my affections to the cross; Hallow each thought; let all within Be clean, as Thou, my Lord, art clean! If in this darksome wild I stray, Be Thou my light, be Thou my way; No foes, no violence I fear, No fraud, while thou, my God, art near. When rising floods my soul o’erflow, When sinks my heart in waves of woe, Jesu, Thy timely aid impart, And raise my head, and cheer my heart. Savior, where’er Thy steps I see, Dauntless, untired, I follow thee! O let Thy hand support me still, And lead me to Thy holy hill! If rough and thorny be the way, My strength proportion to my day; Till toil, and grief, and pain shall cease, Where all is calm, and joy, and peace.

• [Psa 139:12] Peacefully Round Us The Shadows Are Falling

  Peacefully round us the shadows are falling, Glad be our praises and trustful our prayer; Hear us, O Lord, on Thy providence calling, Lighten our darkness, and banish our care. Hushed are the sheep bells afar on the moorland, O’er the still meadows the night breezes sweep, Faint fall the footsteps in city and hamlet, Safely the children are folded in sleep. Softly may weary ones rest from their duty, Bright be the dreams of the troubled and worn, While through the shades beam the stars in their beauty, Watching the world till the breaking of morn. Lord of the night, let Thine angels defend us; Sunshine and gloom are alike unto Thee; Lord of the day, let Thy Spirit attend us, Bless us and keep us wherever we be.

Revelation 6:15-16

• [Rev 6:16] I Dreamed That The Great Judgment Morning

  I dreamed that the great judgment morning Had dawned, and the trumpet had blown; I dreamed that the nations had gathered To judgment before the white throne; From the throne came a bright shining angel, And he stood on the land and the sea, And he swore with his hand raised to Heaven, That time was no longer to be. Refrain And O, what a weeping and wailing, As the lost were told of their fate; They cried for the rocks and the mountains, They prayed, but their prayer was too late. The rich man was there, but his money Had melted and vanished away; A pauper he stood in the judgment, His debts were too heavy to pay; The great man was there, but his greatness, When death came, was left far behind! The angel that opened the records, Not a trace of his greatness could find. Refrain The widow was there with the orphans, God heard and remembered their cries; No sorrow in Heaven forever, God wiped all the tears from their eyes; The gambler was there and the drunkard, And the man that had sold them the drink, With the people who gave him the license, Together in hell they did sink. Refrain The moral man came to the judgment, But self righteous rags would not do; The men who had crucified Jesus Had passed off as moral men, too; The soul that had put off salvation, “Not tonight; I’ll get saved by and by, No time now to think of religion!” At last they had found time to die. • [Rev 6:16] Lift Your Heads

  Lift your heads, ye friends of Jesus, Partners in His sufferings here; Christ, to all believers precious, Lord of lords, shall soon appear: Mark the tokens of His heavenly kingdom near! Close behind the tribulation Of the last tremendous days, See the flaming revelation, See the universal blaze! Earth and heaven melt before the Judge’s face! Sun and moon are both confounded, Darkened into endless night, When, with angel hosts surrounded, In His Father’s glory bright, Christ the Savior shines, the everlasting Light. See the stars from Heaven falling, Hark on earth the doleful cry, Men on rocks and mountains calling, While the glorious Judge draws nigh, “Hide us, hide us, rocks and mountains, from His eye!” With what different exclamation Shall the saints His banner see! By the tokens of His passion, By the marks received for me, All discern Him, all with shouts cry out, “’Tis He!” Lo! ’tis He! Our hearts’ Desire, Come for His espoused below, Come to join us to His choir, Come to make our joys overflow, Palms of victory, crowns of glory to bestow. Yes, the prize shall now be given, We His open face shall see; Love, the earnest of our heaven, Love, our full reward shall be; Love shall crown us kings through all eternity!
