Genesis 28:6

Context

28:6 Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him off to Paddan Aram to find a wife there. 1  As he blessed him, 2  Isaac commanded him, “You must not marry a Canaanite woman.” 3

37:22 Reuben continued, 4  “Don’t shed blood! Throw him into this cistern that is here in the wilderness, but don’t lay a hand on him.” 5  (Reuben said this 6  so he could rescue Joseph 7  from them 8  and take him back to his father.)

[28:6]  2 tn The infinitive construct with the preposition and the suffix form a temporal clause.
