10:20 At that time ¹  those left in Israel, those who remain of the family ²  of Jacob, will no longer rely on a foreign leader that abuses them. ³  Instead they will truly ⁴  rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. ⁵ 

Isaiah 11:11

11:11 At that time ⁶  the sovereign master ⁷  will again lift his hand ⁸  to reclaim ⁹  the remnant of his people ¹⁰  from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, ¹¹  Cush, ¹²  Elam, Shinar, ¹³  Hamath, and the seacoasts. ¹⁴ 

Isaiah 16:14

16:14 Now the Lord makes this announcement: “Within exactly three years ¹⁵  Moab’s splendor will disappear, along with all her many people; there will be just a few, insignificant survivors left.” ¹⁶

Consequently many emend שֵׁנִית (shenit, “a second time”) to an infinitive. Some propose the form שַׁנֹּת (shannot, a Piel infinitive construct from שָׁנָה, shanah) and relate it semantically to an Arabic cognate meaning “to be high.” If the Hebrew text is retained a verb must be supplied. “Second time” would allude back to the events of the Exodus (see vv. 15-16).

[16:14]  ¹¹ tn Heb “in three years, like the years of a hired worker.” The three years must be reckoned exactly, just as a hired worker would carefully keep track of the time he had agreed to work for an employer in exchange for a predetermined wage.

[16:14]  ¹² tn Heb “and the splendor of Moab will be disgraced with all the great multitude, and a small little remnant will not be strong.”
