Isaiah 58:8

58:8 Then your light will shine like the sunrise; ¹ 

your restoration will quickly arrive; ² 

your godly behavior ³  will go before you,

and the Lord’s splendor will be your rear guard. ⁴

10:25 The standard of the camp of the Danites set out, which was the rear guard ⁵  of all the camps by their companies; over his company was Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.

[58:8]  ² tn Heb “prosper”; KJV “spring forth speedily.”

[58:8]  ³ tn Or “righteousness.” Their godly behavior will be on display for all to see.

[58:8]  ⁴ sn The nation will experience God’s protective presence.

[10:25]  ⁵ tn The MT uses a word that actually means “assembler,” so these three tribes made up a strong rear force recognized as the assembler of all the tribes.
