Isaiah 60:6

60:6 Camel caravans will cover your roads, ¹ 

young camels from Midian and Ephah.

All the merchants of Sheba ²  will come,

bringing gold and incense

and singing praises to the Lord. ³ 

Isaiah 66:20

66:20 They will bring back all your countrymen ⁴  from all the nations as an offering to the Lord. They will bring them ⁵  on horses, in chariots, in wagons, on mules, and on camels ⁶  to my holy hill Jerusalem,” says the Lord, “just as the Israelites bring offerings to the Lord’s temple in ritually pure containers.

Jeremiah 2:23

2:23 “How can you say, ‘I have not made myself unclean.

I have not paid allegiance to ⁷  the gods called Baal.’

Just look at the way you have behaved in the Valley of Hinnom! ⁸ 

Think about the things you have done there!

You are like a flighty, young female camel

that rushes here and there, crisscrossing its path. ⁹

[66:20]  ⁵ tn The words “they will bring them” are supplied in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[66:20]  ⁶ tn The precise meaning of this word is uncertain. Some suggest it refers to “chariots.” See HALOT 498 s.v. *כִּרְכָּרָה.
