Isaiah 64:6

Context

64:6 We are all like one who is unclean,

all our so-called righteous acts are like a menstrual rag in your sight. 1

We all wither like a leaf;

our sins carry us away like the wind.

James 1:11

Context
1:11 For the sun rises with its heat and dries up the meadow; the petal of the flower falls off and its beauty is lost forever. 2  So also the rich person in the midst of his pursuits will wither away.
