Zechariah 9:14

Matthew 24:27
Context24:27 For just like the lightning 3 comes from the east and flashes to the west, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.
[37:3] 1 tn Heb “wings,” and then figuratively for the extremities of garments, of land, etc.
[37:4] 2 tn The verb simply has the pronominal suffix, “them.” The idea must be that when God brings in all the thunderings he does not hold back his lightning bolts either.
[24:27] 3 sn The Son of Man’s coming in power will be sudden and obvious like lightning. No one will need to point it out.
