makam yang fana. Dari bumi kita lahir dan kembali padaNya;

Job 7:15-21

[Job 7:16] I Would Not Live Alway
I would not live alway; I ask not to stay
Where storm after storm rises dark o’er the way;
The few lurid mornings that dawn on us here
Are enough for life’s woes, full enough for its cheer.I would not live alway, thus fettered by sin;
Temptation without, and corruption within;
E’en the rapture of pardon is mingled with fears,
And the cup of thanksgiving with penitent tears.I would not live alway; no, welcome the tomb:
Since Jesus hath lain there, I dread not its gloom;
There sweet be my rest, till He bid me arise
To hail Him in triumph descending the skies.Who, who would live alway, away from his God,
Away from yon Heaven, that blissful abode,
Where the rivers of pleasure flow o’er the bright plains,
And the noontide of glory eternally reigns;Where the saints of all ages in harmony meet,
Their Savior and brethren, transported, to greet;
While the anthems of rapture unceasingly roll,
And the smile of the Lord is the feast of the soul?Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Job 7:17] What Am I, O Thou Glorious God!
What am I, O Thou glorious God!
And what my father’s house to Thee,
That Thou such mercies hast bestowed
On me, the chief of sinners, me!
I take the blessing from above,
And wonder at Thy boundless love.Me in my blood Thy love passed by,
And stopped, my ruin to retrieve;
Wept o’er my soul Thy pitying eye,
Thy bowels yearned, and sounded “Live!”
Dying, I heard the welcome sound,
And pardon in Thy mercy found.Honor, and might, and thanks, and praise,
I render to my pardoning God,
Extol the riches of Thy grace,
And spread Thy saving Name abroad,
That only name to sinners giv’n,
Which lifts poor dying worms to Heav’n.Jesus, I bless Thy gracious power,
And all within me shouts Thy Name;
Thy Name let every soul adore,
Thy power let every tongue proclaim;
Thy grace let every sinner know,
And find with me their heaven below.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 8:4

[Psa 8:4] Lord, What Was Man?
Lord, what was man, when made at first,
Adam the offspring of the dust,
That Thou shouldst set him and his race
But just below an angel’s place?That Thou shouldst raise his nature so,
And make him lord of all below;
Make every beast and bird submit,
And lay the fishes at his feet?But O! what brighter glories wait
To crown the Second Adam’s state!
What honors shall Thy Son adorn,
Who condescended to be born!See Him below His angels made;
See Him in dust amongst the dead,
To save a ruined world from sin;
But He shall reign with power divine.The world to come, redeemed from all
The mis’ries that attend the fall,
New made and glorious, shall submit
At our exalted Savior’s feet.Play source: Cyberhymnal

[Psa 144:3] Now Praise We Great And Famous Men
Now praise we great and famous men,
The fathers named in story;
And praise the Lord, who now as then
Reveals in man His glory.Praise we the wise and brave and strong,
Who graced their generation,
Who helped the right, and fought the wrong,
And made our folk a nation.Praise we the great of heart and mind,
The singers sweetly gifted,
Whose music like a mighty wind
The souls of men uplifted.Praise we the peaceful men of skill,
Who builded homes of beauty,
And, rich in art, made richer still
The brotherhood of duty.Praise we the glorious names we know,
And they whose names have perished,
Lost, in the haze of long ago,
In silent love be cherished.In peace their sacred ashes rest,
Fulfilled their day’s endeavor;
They blessed the earth, and they are blessed
Of God and man forever.Play source: Cyberhymnal
