Joshua 24:13

24:13 I gave you a land in ¹  which you had not worked hard; you took up residence in cities you did not build and you are eating the produce of ²  vineyards and olive groves you did not plant.’

Nehemiah 9:25

9:25 They captured fortified cities and fertile land. They took possession of houses full of all sorts of good things – wells previously dug, vineyards, olive trees, and fruit trees in abundance. They ate until they were full ³  and grew fat. They enjoyed to the full your great goodness.

Psalms 78:55

78:55 He drove the nations out from before them;

105:44 He handed the territory of nations over to them,

and they took possession of what other peoples had produced, ⁶

[9:25]  ³ tn Heb “they ate and were sated.” This expression is a hendiadys. The first verb retains its full verbal sense, while the second functions adverbially: “they ate and were filled” = “they ate until they were full.”
