[5:7]  1 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “so” to indicate consequential nature of the action.

[5:7]  2 tn That is, “they signaled by making gestures” (L&N 33.485).

[5:7]  3 tn This infinitive conveys the idea that the boats were at the point of sinking.

[5:2]  4 tn Grk “And he.” Here καί (kai) has not been translated because of differences between Greek and English style.

[1:23]  5 tn BDAG 276 s.v. ἑδραῖος suggests “firm, steadfast.”

[1:23]  6 tn BDAG 639 s.v. μετακινέω suggests “without shifting from the hope” here.
