Mark 5:27-29

5:27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, ¹  5:28 for she kept saying, ²  “If only I touch his clothes, I will be healed.” ³  5:29 At once the bleeding stopped, ⁴  and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.

Matthew 8:3

8:3 He stretched out his hand and touched ⁵  him saying, “I am willing. Be clean!” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Matthew 8:15

8:15 He touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then ⁶  she got up and began to serve them.

Matthew 9:29

9:29 Then he touched their eyes saying, “Let it be done for you according to your faith.”

[5:27]  ¹ tn Grk “garment,” but here ἱμάτιον (Jimation) denotes the outer garment in particular.

[5:28]  ² tn The imperfect verb is here taken iteratively, for the context suggests that the woman was trying to muster up the courage to touch Jesus’ cloak.

[5:29]  ⁴ tn Grk “the flow of her blood dried up.”

[8:3]  ⁵ sn Touched. This touch would have rendered Jesus ceremonially unclean (Lev 14:46; also Mishnah, m. Nega’im 3.1; 11.1; 12.1; 13.6-12).

[8:15]  ⁶ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “then.”
