[19:9]  1 tn Heb “the fear of the Lord is clean.” The phrase “fear of the Lord” probably refers here to the law, which teaches one how to demonstrate proper reverence for the Lord. See Ps 111:10 for another possible use of the phrase in this sense.

[19:9]  2 tn Heb “[it] stands permanently.”

[19:9]  3 sn Trustworthy and absolutely just. The Lord’s commands accurately reflect God’s moral will for his people and are an expression of his just character.

[119:13]  4 tn Heb “of your mouth.”

[119:20]  5 tn Heb “my soul languishes for longing for.”

[119:75]  6 tn In this context (note the second line) the Hebrew term מִשְׁפָּטִים (mishpatim), which so often refers to the regulations of God’s law elsewhere in this psalm, may refer instead to his decisions or disciplinary judgment.

[119:75]  7 tn Heb “and [in] faithfulness you afflicted me.”

[16:7]  8 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “then” to indicate the implied sequence of events within the vision.

[16:7]  9 tn Grk “the altar saying.”

[16:7]  10 tn On this word BDAG 755 s.v. παντοκράτωρ states, “the Almighty, All-Powerful, Omnipotent (One) only of God…() κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ π. …Rv 1:8; 4:8; 11:17; 15:3; 16:7; 21:22.”

[19:2]  11 tn Compare the similar phrase in Rev 16:7.

[19:2]  12 tn Or “has punished.” See BDAG 568 s.v. κρίνω 5.b.α, describing the OT background which involves both the vindication of the innocent and the punishment of the guilty.

[19:2]  13 tn See the note on the word “servants” in 1:1.

[19:2]  14 tn Grk “from her hand” (referring to her responsibility in causing the blood of God’s followers to be shed).
