[32:11]  1 tn Heb “all [you] pure of heart.” The “heart” is here viewed as the seat of one’s moral character and motives. The “pure of heart” are God’s faithful followers who trust in and love the Lord and, as a result, experience his deliverance (see Pss 7:10; 11:2; 36:10; 64:10; 94:15; 97:11).

[33:1]  2 sn Psalm 33. In this hymn the psalmist praises the Lord as the sovereign creator and just ruler of the world who protects and vindicates those who fear him.

[95:1]  3 sn Psalm 95. The psalmist summons Israel to praise God as the creator of the world and the nation’s protector, but he also reminds the people not to rebel against God.

[95:1]  4 tn Heb “to the rocky summit of our deliverance.”

[95:2]  5 tn Heb “meet his face.”

[95:2]  6 tn Heb “with songs of joy.”

[95:6]  7 tn Heb “kneel down.”

[100:1]  8 sn Psalm 100. The psalmist celebrates the fact that Israel has a special relationship to God and summons worshipers to praise the Lord for his faithfulness.

[100:2]  9 tn Or “serve.”

[149:2]  10 tn Heb “sons.”

[149:2]  11 sn The Lord is the king here, as the parallelism in the previous line (“their creator”) indicates.
