Psalms 25:20

25:20 Protect me ¹  and deliver me!

Please do not let me be humiliated,

for I have taken shelter in you!

Psalms 141:3

141:3 O Lord, place a guard on my mouth!

Protect the opening ²  of my lips! ³ 

[25:20]  ¹ tn Or “my life.”

[141:3]  ² tn Heb “door.” The Hebrew word occurs only here in the OT.

[141:3]  ³ sn My mouth…my lips. The psalmist asks God to protect him from speaking inappropriately or sinfully.
