[59:5]  1 tn HebLord, God, Hosts.” One expects the construct form אֱלֹהֵי (’elohey) before צְבָאוֹת (tsÿvaot, “hosts”). See Ps 89:9, but יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים (yÿhvahelohim) precedes צְבָאוֹת (tsÿvaot) in Pss 80:4, 19; 84:8 as well.

[59:5]  2 tn Heb “wake up to punish” (see Pss 35:23; 44:23).

[18:17]  3 tn Here δέ (de) has not been translated.

[18:17]  4 tn Here δέ (de) has not been translated.

[18:17]  5 tn Grk “let him be to you as.”

[18:17]  6 tn Or “a pagan.”

[18:17]  7 sn To treat him like a Gentile or a tax collector means not to associate with such a person. See the note on tax collectors in 5:46.
