[75:1]  1 sn Psalm 75. The psalmist celebrates God’s just rule, which guarantees that the godly will be vindicated and the wicked destroyed.

[75:1]  2 tn Heb “do not destroy.” Perhaps this refers to a particular style of music, a tune title, or a musical instrument. These words also appear in the superscription to Pss 57-59.

[75:1]  3 tn Heb “and near [is] your name.”

[85:9]  4 tn Heb “certainly his deliverance [is] near to those who fear him.”

[85:9]  5 tn Heb “to dwell, glory, in our land.” “Glory” is the subject of the infinitive. The infinitive with -לְ (lÿ), “to dwell,” probably indicates result here (“then”). When God delivers his people and renews his relationship with them, he will once more reveal his royal splendor in the land.

[119:151]  6 tn Or “truth.”

[145:18]  7 tn Heb “in truth.”

[55:6]  8 tn Heb “while he allows himself to be found.” The Niphal form has a tolerative force here.
