The title "Acts of the Apostles"is very ancient. The Anti-Marcionite Prologueto the Gospel of Luke (150-180 A.D.) contains the oldest reference to the book by this name. The title is a bit misleading, however, because the book contains only a few of the acts of some of the apostles, primarily Peter and Paul.
