These words I am commanding you today must be kept in mind,

Therefore, I am commanding you to set apart for yourselves three cities.

So keep the commandments, statutes, and ordinances that I today am commanding you to do.

Remember that you were slaves in the land of Egypt; therefore, I am commanding you to do all this.

Joab son of Zeruiah was commanding general of ¹  the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was secretary;

So when you cross the Jordan you must erect on Mount Ebal ¹  these stones about which I am commanding you today, and you must cover them with plaster.

(13:1) ¹  You ²  must be careful to do everything I am commanding you. Do not add to it or subtract from it! ³ 

So the commanding officer ¹  came and asked ²  Paul, ³  “Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?” ⁴  He replied, ⁵  “Yes.”

Then if you and your descendants ¹  turn to the Lord your God and obey him with your whole mind and being ²  just as ³  I am commanding you today,

And we are confident about you in the Lord that you are both doing – and will do – what we are commanding.

Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you; therefore, I am commanding you to do this thing today.

Also take these ten portions of cheese to their commanding officer. ¹  Find out how your brothers are doing ²  and bring back their pledge that they received the goods. ³
