Jesus also told this parable to some who were confident that they were righteous and looked down on everyone else.

When Jesus saw their faith he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”

And after about an hour still another insisted, “Certainly this man was with him, because he too is a Galilean.”

Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Then he said to the man, “Get up and go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

Then he said to them, “Where is your faith?” But they were afraid and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him!”

So the Lord replied, “If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this black mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled out by the roots and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
