He answered them, “Do you think these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered these things?

Now when Pilate heard this, he asked whether the man was a Galilean.

Completely baffled, they said, “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?

Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A slave girl came to him and said, “You also were with Jesus the Galilean.”

But he denied it again. A short time later the bystanders again said to Peter, “You must be one of them, because you are also a Galilean.”

Now there were some present on that occasion who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.

And after about an hour still another insisted, “Certainly this man was with him, because he too is a Galilean.”

So when he came to Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him because they had seen all the things he had done in Jerusalem at the feast (for they themselves had gone to the feast).

and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking up into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way you saw him go into heaven.”

After him Judas the Galilean arose in the days of the census, and incited people to follow him in revolt. He too was killed, and all who followed him were scattered.
