Then Jesus said to him, “‘If you are able?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.”

For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, the elect.

Jesus looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for mere humans, but not for God; all things are possible for God.”

Going a little farther, he threw himself to the ground and prayed that if it were possible the hour would pass from him.

He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
