that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples:

They said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare it?”

Then he will show you a large furnished room upstairs. Make preparations there.”

So they went and found things just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High. For you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,

That servant who knew his master’s will but did not get ready or do what his master asked will receive a severe beating.

As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, “The voice of one shouting in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make his paths straight.

Won’t the master instead say to him, ‘Get my dinner ready, and make yourself ready to serve me while I eat and drink. Then you may eat and drink’?
