Give us today our daily bread,

But Peter said to him, “Explain this parable to us.”

Later, the other virgins came too, saying, ‘Lord, lord! Let us in!’

saying, “Prophesy for us, you Christ! Who hit you?”

and forgive us our debts, as we ourselves have forgiven our debtors.

The disciples said to him, “Where can we get enough bread in this desolate place to satisfy so great a crowd?”

Tell us then, what do you think? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”

So Jesus replied to him, “Let it happen now, for it is right for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John yielded to him.

They cried out, “Son of God, leave us alone! Have you come here to torment us before the time?”

Then Peter said to him, “Look, we have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”

saying, ‘These last fellows worked one hour, and you have made them equal to us who bore the hardship and burning heat of the day.’

The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’

‘No,’ they replied. ‘There won’t be enough for you and for us. Go instead to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”

Where did John’s baptism come from? From heaven or from people?” They discussed this among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’

Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children he left his wife to his brother.

As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

But Jesus was silent. The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.”
