and all who heard it were astonished at what the shepherds said.

The Pharisee was astonished when he saw that Jesus did not first wash his hands before the meal.

Now the people were waiting for Zechariah, and they began to wonder why he was delayed in the holy place.

He asked for a writing tablet and wrote, “His name is John.” And they were all amazed.

So the child’s father and mother were amazed at what was said about him.

Thus they were unable in the presence of the people to trap him with his own words. And stunned by his answer, they fell silent.

And while they still could not believe it (because of their joy) and were amazed, he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

Then they were all astonished at the mighty power of God.But while the entire crowd was amazed at everything Jesus was doing, he said to his disciples,

Now he was casting out a demon that was mute. When the demon had gone out, the man who had been mute began to speak, and the crowds were amazed.

All were speaking well of him, and were amazed at the gracious words coming out of his mouth. They said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?”

Then he said to them, “Where is your faith?” But they were afraid and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him!”

But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. He bent down and saw only the strips of linen cloth; then he went home, wondering what had happened.
