They replied, “Caesar’s.” He said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Is it right for us to pay the tribute tax to Caesar or not?”

So he said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Then, after conferring with his council, Festus replied, “You have appealed to Caesar; to Caesar you will go!”

Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were utterly amazed at him.

All the saints greet you, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household.

From this point on, Pilate tried to release him. But the Jewish leaders shouted out, “If you release this man, you are no friend of Caesar! Everyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar!”

Tell us then, what do you think? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”

Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus to register all the empire for taxes.

“Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” They said, “Caesar’s.”

Agrippa said to Festus, “This man could have been released if he had not appealed to Caesar.”

But when the Jews objected, I was forced to appeal to Caesar – not that I had some charge to bring against my own people.

So they brought one, and he said to them, “Whose image is this, and whose inscription?” They replied, “Caesar’s.”

and Jason has welcomed them as guests! They are all acting against Caesar’s decrees, saying there is another king named Jesus!”

Paul said in his defense, “I have committed no offense against the Jewish law or against the temple or against Caesar.”

But when Paul appealed to be kept in custody for the decision of His Majesty the Emperor, I ordered him to be kept under guard until I could send him to Caesar.”

and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul! You must stand before Caesar, and God has graciously granted you the safety of all who are sailing with you.’

They began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man subverting our nation, forbidding us to pay the tribute tax to Caesar and claiming that he himself is Christ, a king.”

Then they shouted out, “Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!” Pilate asked, “Shall I crucify your king?” The high priests replied, “We have no king except Caesar!”

Paul replied, “I am standing before Caesar’s judgment seat, where I should be tried. I have done nothing wrong to the Jews, as you also know very well.
