He said, “What comes out of a person defiles him.

For the Son of Man will go as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for him if he had never been born.”

Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for people, not people for the Sabbath.

There is nothing outside of a person that can defile him by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles him.”

Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

For this reason the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”

(For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of that man, you unclean spirit!”)

They worship me in vain, teaching as doctrine the commandments of men.’

Having no regard for the command of God, you hold fast to human tradition.”

All these evils come from within and defile a person.”

Regaining his sight he said, “I see people, but they look like trees walking.”

What can a person give in exchange for his life?

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother,

Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

John’s baptism – was it from heaven or from people? Answer me.”

for he was teaching his disciples and telling them, “The Son of Man will be betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise.”

Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will turn you into fishers of people.”

Then Jesus entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand.

So he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Stand up among all these people.”

He also said, “The kingdom of God is like someone who spreads seed on the ground.
