But the person who endures to the end will be saved.

And you will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Make sure that you are not alarmed, for this must happen, but the end is still to come.

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

But Peter was following him from a distance, all the way to the high priest’s courtyard. After going in, he sat with the guards to see the outcome.

He said, “Yes.” When Peter came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do earthly kings collect tolls or taxes – from their sons or from foreigners?”
