Now Jesus went home, and a crowd gathered so that they were not able to eat.

Give us each day our daily bread,

So they said to him, “Sir, give us this bread all the time!”

Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the solemn truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but my Father is giving you the true bread from heaven.

Is there anyone among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

Now they had forgotten to take bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.

For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon!’

But some boats from Tiberias came to shore near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.

When they got out on the beach, they saw a charcoal fire ready with a fish placed on it, and bread.

Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.

Then Paul went back upstairs, and after he had broken bread and eaten, he talked with them a long time, until dawn. Then he left.

After he said this, Paul took bread and gave thanks to God in front of them all, broke it, and began to eat.

“Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their hands when they eat.”

“It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs,” he said.

He instructed them to take nothing for the journey except a staff – no bread, no bag, no money in their belts –

He said to her, “Let the children be satisfied first, for it is not right to take the children’s bread and to throw it to the dogs.”

While they were eating, he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it. This is my body.”

He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey – no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, and do not take an extra tunic.

Now one Sabbath when Jesus went to dine at the house of a leader of the Pharisees, they were watching him closely.
