They went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.

and said, “By what authority are you doing these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”

But he looked around to see who had done it.

Have you not read this scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

“Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that all these things are about to take place?”

I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

Sighing deeply in his spirit he said, “Why does this generation look for a sign? I tell you the truth, no sign will be given to this generation.”

But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and the inheritance will be ours!’

“But in those days, after that suffering, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;

If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand.

If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

So with many parables like these, he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear.

When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue. Many who heard him were astonished, saying, “Where did he get these ideas? And what is this wisdom that has been given to him? What are these miracles that are done through his hands?

But when Herod heard this, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has been raised!”

He said, “What comes out of a person defiles him.

All these evils come from within and defile a person.”

They also had a few small fish. After giving thanks for these, he told them to serve these as well.

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother,

In the house once again, the disciples asked him about this.

The man said to him, “Teacher, I have wholeheartedly obeyed all these laws since my youth.”
