Then some of the experts in the law said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming!”

So they began to discuss this among themselves, saying, “It is because we brought no bread.”

By saying this you testify against yourselves that you are descendants of those who murdered the prophets.

but I know you, that you do not have the love of God within you.

and to esteem them most highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

In this way they will save up a treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the future and so lay hold of what is truly life.

If so, have you not made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil motives?

Indeed we felt as if the sentence of death had been passed against us, so that we would not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead.

But those who were at the table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?”

Watch yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.

Then he said to the council, “Men of Israel, pay close attention to what you are about to do to these men.

But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves.

Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.

speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your hearts to the Lord,

For those who have served well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and great boldness in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

and then have committed apostasy, to renew them again to repentance, since they are crucifying the Son of God for themselves all over again and holding him up to contempt.
