Then the high priest said, “Are these things true?”

Peter looked directly at him (as did John) and said, “Look at us!”

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, replied, “Rulers of the people and elders,

But Peter said, “Certainly not, Lord, for I have never eaten anything defiled and ritually unclean!”

So Paul said, “Into what then were you baptized?” “Into John’s baptism,” they replied.

Then he said to me, ‘Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

Now there was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias,” and he replied, “Here I am, Lord.”

Staring at him and becoming greatly afraid, Cornelius replied, “What is it, Lord?” The angel said to him, “Your prayers and your acts of charity have gone up as a memorial before God.

But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison, led them out, and said,

Then he said to the council, “Men of Israel, pay close attention to what you are about to do to these men.

Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”

So he said, “Who are you, Lord?” He replied, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting!

While Peter was still thinking seriously about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Look! Three men are looking for you.

Then Peter started speaking: “I now truly understand that God does not show favoritism in dealing with people,

he said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet.” And the man leaped up and began walking.

So the commanding officer came and asked Paul, “Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?” He replied, “Yes.”

He told them, “You are not permitted to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority.

In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a gathering of about one hundred and twenty people) and said,

For David did not ascend into heaven, but he himself says, ‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand

Peter said to her, “Tell me, were the two of you paid this amount for the land?” Sapphira said, “Yes, that much.”
