After he had said this, he dismissed the assembly.

He went away again and prayed the same thing.

After Jesus had said this, he continued on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.

And after he said this, he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And after he said this he breathed his last.

Having said this, he spat on the ground and made some mud with the saliva. He smeared the mud on the blind man’s eyes

When he had said these things, Jesus was greatly distressed in spirit, and testified, “I tell you the solemn truth, one of you will betray me.”

When Jesus had said this, one of the high priest’s officers who stood nearby struck him on the face and said, “Is that the way you answer the high priest?”

(Now Jesus said this to indicate clearly by what kind of death Peter was going to glorify God.) After he said this, Jesus told Peter, “Follow me.”
