Then he instructed his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.

“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of me.

Therefore pay attention to what they tell you and do it. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they teach.

So then, if someone says to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe him.

“Woe to you when all people speak well of you, for their ancestors did the same things to the false prophets.

So give orders to secure the tomb until the third day. Otherwise his disciples may come and steal his body and say to the people, ‘He has been raised from the dead,’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”
