Then he said to them, “Do you still not understand?”

(They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father.)

For she kept saying to herself, “If only I touch his cloak, I will be healed.”

because John had repeatedly told him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.”

He taught them many things in parables, and in his teaching said to them:

And he said, “Whoever has ears to hear had better listen!”

(For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of that man, you unclean spirit!”)

for she kept saying, “If only I touch his clothes, I will be healed.”

But when Herod heard this, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has been raised!”

He said, “What comes out of a person defiles him.

Regaining his sight he said, “I see people, but they look like trees walking.”

Then he said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”

Then Jesus told them a parable to show them they should always pray and not lose heart.

Then he said to them, “Nation will rise up in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come in your kingdom.”

But Jesus was speaking about the temple of his body.

(Now Jesus said this to test him, for he knew what he was going to do.)

(Now he said this to indicate clearly what kind of death he was going to die.)

he said, “Go away, for the girl is not dead but asleep.” And they began making fun of him.

Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for people, not people for the Sabbath.
