When the disciples went to the other side, they forgot to take bread.

When those hired about five o’clock came, each received a full day’s pay.

They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “Place of the Skull”)

Now the Pharisees and some of the experts in the law who came from Jerusalem gathered around him.

and came and apologized to them. After they brought them out, they asked them repeatedly to leave the city.

And when those hired first came, they thought they would receive more. But each one also received the standard wage.

telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came at night and stole his body while we were asleep.’

When they came to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and experts in the law arguing with them.

But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.

As Jesus was having a meal in Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with Jesus and his disciples.

Then John’s disciples came and took the body and buried it and went and told Jesus.

When his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were very upset and went and told their lord everything that had taken place.

While they were going, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests everything that had happened.

Then many of the people, who had come with Mary and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in him.

But there were some men from Cyprus and Cyrene among them who came to Antioch and began to speak to the Greeks too, proclaiming the good news of the Lord Jesus.

Moving on from Perga, they arrived at Pisidian Antioch, and on the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down.

When they came to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to do this,

As they came into the house and saw the child with Mary his mother, they bowed down and worshiped him. They opened their treasure boxes and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

So give orders to secure the tomb until the third day. Otherwise his disciples may come and steal his body and say to the people, ‘He has been raised from the dead,’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”

But Paul said to the police officers, “They had us beaten in public without a proper trial – even though we are Roman citizens – and they threw us in prison. And now they want to send us away secretly? Absolutely not! They themselves must come and escort us out!”
