Then an expert in the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

The expert in the law said to him, “That is true, Teacher; you are right to say that he is one, and there is no one else besides him.

Where is the wise man? Where is the expert in the Mosaic law? Where is the debater of this age? Has God not made the wisdom of the world foolish?

Then he said to them, “Therefore every expert in the law who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his treasure what is new and old.”
