Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, “Teacher, what should we do?”

“I have come to bring fire on the earth – and how I wish it were already kindled!

Now on the first day of the week, at early dawn, the women went to the tomb, taking the aromatic spices they had prepared.

On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they wanted to name him Zechariah after his father.

but (because they assumed that he was in their group of travelers) they went a day’s journey. Then they began to look for him among their relatives and acquaintances.

So when they came to the place that is called “The Skull,” they crucified him there, along with the criminals, one on his right and one on his left.

and when they did not find his body, they came back and said they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive.

The next morning Jesus departed and went to a deserted place. Yet the crowds were seeking him, and they came to him and tried to keep him from leaving them.

So they motioned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so that they were about to sink.
