Jesus answered, “The most important is: ‘Listen, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

For this reason the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”

If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here soon.’”

What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy those tenants and give the vineyard to others.

And if the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would be saved. But because of the elect, whom he chose, he has cut them short.

Stay alert, then, because you do not know when the owner of the house will return – whether during evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or at dawn –

After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

But Jesus did not permit him to do so. Instead, he said to him, “Go to your home and to your people and tell them what the Lord has done for you, that he had mercy on you.”

David himself, by the Holy Spirit, said, ‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet.”’
