So the crowds were asking him, “What then should we do?”

They will say, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish!’

raised their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.”

And when the people saw it, they all complained, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.”

But they all shouted out together, “Take this man away! Release Barabbas for us!”

But they kept on shouting, “Crucify, crucify him!”

and saying, “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself!”

But the Pharisees and the experts in the law were complaining, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Now some Sadducees (who contend that there is no resurrection) came to him.

They blindfolded him and asked him repeatedly, “Prophesy! Who hit you?”

Then astonishment seized them all, and they glorified God. They were filled with awe, saying, “We have seen incredible things today.”

But the Pharisees and their experts in the law complained to his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

When they came to Jesus, they urged him earnestly, “He is worthy to have you do this for him,

Then the seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name!”

At that time, some Pharisees came up and said to Jesus, “Get away from here, because Herod wants to kill you.”

But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to be king over us!’

So they discussed it with one another, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why did you not believe him?’

But when the tenants saw him, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir; let’s kill him so the inheritance will be ours!’

So they asked him, “Teacher, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that these things are about to take place?”
