Simon’s mother-in-law was lying down, sick with a fever, so they spoke to Jesus at once about her.

When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”

“When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?” They replied, “Seven.”

Then they asked him, “Why do the experts in the law say that Elijah must come first?”

Sadducees (who say there is no resurrection) also came to him and asked him,

A crowd was sitting around him and they said to him, “Look, your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you.”

He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” When they found out, they said, “Five – and two fish.”

When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?” They replied, “Twelve.”

While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, he said, “How is it that the experts in the law say that the Christ is David’s son?

Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. So they came to Jesus and said, “Why do the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don’t fast?”

But he was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. They woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are about to die?”

But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said, “Should we go and buy bread for two hundred silver coins and give it to them to eat?”

Then Jesus and his disciples went to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?”

So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Then Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”

Now on the first day of the feast of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb is sacrificed, Jesus’ disciples said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”

When they came they said to him, “Teacher, we know that you are truthful and do not court anyone’s favor, because you show no partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”
