“But your eyes are blessed because they see, and your ears because they hear.

They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.”

For my eyes have seen your salvation

(but their eyes were kept from recognizing him).

So they asked him, “How then were you made to see?”

And their eyes were opened. Then Jesus sternly warned them, “See that no one knows about this.”

He came again and found them sleeping; they could not keep their eyes open.

Then Jesus turned to his disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see!

At this point their eyes were opened and they recognized him. Then he vanished out of their sight.

let their eyes be darkened so that they may not see, and make their backs bend continually.”

For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and his ears are open to their prayer. But the Lord’s face is against those who do evil.

When he came again he found them sleeping; they could not keep their eyes open. And they did not know what to tell him.

Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him.

His head and hair were as white as wool, even as white as snow, and his eyes were like a fiery flame.

His eyes are like a fiery flame and there are many diadem crowns on his head. He has a name written that no one knows except himself.
