But Jesus gently took her by the hand and said, “Child, get up.”

“Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible anguish.”

That is why I did not presume to come to you. Instead, say the word, and my servant must be healed.

While he was on his way down, his slaves met him and told him that his son was going to live.

Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go; just as you believed, it will be done for you.” And the servant was healed at that hour.

Then Jesus rebuked the demon and it came out of him, and the boy was healed from that moment.

But when the feast was over, as they were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His parents did not know it,

But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. Instead, just say the word and my servant will be healed.

“Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I take great delight. I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.
