Immediately he went up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi,” and kissed him.

And a leper approached, and bowed low before him, saying, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Then an expert in the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

Now someone came up to him and said, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to gain eternal life?”

He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered that it be given to him.

The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.”

Then Peter came to him and said, “Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother who sins against me? As many as seven times?”

“What do you think? A man had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’

The father went to the other son and said the same thing. This boy answered, ‘I will, sir,’ but did not go.

The one with the two talents also came and said, ‘Sir, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more.’

Suddenly there was a severe earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descending from heaven came and rolled away the stone and sat on it.

Then Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

As he was saying these things, a ruler came, bowed low before him, and said, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her and she will live.”

The one who had received the five talents came and brought five more, saying, ‘Sir, you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’

Then the one who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Sir, I knew that you were a hard man, harvesting where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed,
