They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “Place of the Skull”)

They brought Jesus to a place called Golgotha (which is translated, “Place of the Skull”).

For if that first covenant had been faultless, no one would have looked for a second one.

But the dragon was not strong enough to prevail, so there was no longer any place left in heaven for him and his angels.

Then the slave said, ‘Sir, what you instructed has been done, and there is still room.’

When it was already late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is an isolated place and it is already very late.

Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you people say that the place where people must worship is in Jerusalem.”

But the Lord said to him, ‘Take the sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.

If a place will not welcome you or listen to you, as you go out from there, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has been raised! He is not here. Look, there is the place where they laid him.

And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.

Thus many of the Jewish residents of Jerusalem read this notice, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the notice was written in Aramaic, Latin, and Greek.

When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God courageously.

‘Heaven is my throne, and earth is the footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is my resting place?

Then I saw a large white throne and the one who was seated on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.
