For this reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants devoted to governing.

For I don’t understand what I am doing. For I do not do what I want – instead, I do what I hate.

But if I do what I don’t want, I agree that the law is good.

For this reason Christ died and returned to life, so that he may be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

that is, that we may be mutually comforted by one another’s faith, both yours and mine.

For I do not do the good I want, but I do the very evil I do not want!

Therefore we must not pass judgment on one another, but rather determine never to place an obstacle or a trap before a brother or sister.

So then, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all people because all sinned –
